Can I apply from inside Spain?
If you are in Spain legally (for example as a tourist), you do not need the visa: you can apply directly for the international telework residence permit, filed online with the Large Companies Unit (UGE). It is decided within 20 days and lasts up to three years.
How long does the digital nomad visa last?
The visa is valid for up to one year. Within the 60 days before it expires you can apply in Spain for the residence permit, valid for up to three years and renewable for two-year periods.
Can my family come with me?
Yes. Your spouse or partner, children under 18 (or older if financially dependent) and dependent parents can apply with you or later. Each one raises the income threshold, and they may work in Spain.
Do I have to pay Spanish social security?
Yes. Employees need their foreign employer registered with Spanish social security (or a certificate under a bilateral agreement); freelancers must register as self-employed (RETA).
Do you guarantee approval?
No one can. We make sure your file is complete and consistent with the official requirements, which is what most refusals come down to — but the decision is always the consulate's or the Ministry's.
